Huberta, a hippopotamus, set off on an incredible journey in November 1928 from her waterhole in St Lucia Estuary in Zululand and travelled 1,600 kilometers over three years to reach the Eastern Cape. This amazing story inspired us to create the Huberta Bowl as a tribute to this incredible animal and her epic journey.
